Abstract
Since antiquity, plants have been used in cosmetics due to their antioxidant, regenerative, and moisturizing properties for the skin. Cosmetic products play an important role in daily life, particularly for women, but also for men, especially on special occasions. The objective of this research is to determine the various nutritional elements present in the mango kernel, with a view to its subsequent use in the manufacture of cosmetic products, specifically a moisturizing cream based on vegetable oil extracted from the mango kernel "hiesy". Nutritional analyses carried out on mango kernel powder revealed interesting levels: 8.95% lipids, 6.95% proteins, and 75.83% carbohydrates, for an energy value of 411.70 kcal per 100 g of powder. Knowledge of these nutrients and their respective concentrations not only allow for the valorization of fruit waste, thus contributing to urban sanitation, but also improves human living conditions through the production of natural and ecological cosmetics.
