Abstract
This study explores the life skills of prospective teachers with visual impairments and their implications in inclusive education. Using in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, it revealed that personal, social, and professional life skills based on the World Health Organization's 10 core life skills framework is very important. Findings from six participants showed strengths in self-awareness, empathy, building healthy relationships and communication, moderate competency in emotional management, problem-solving, and decision-making, but challenges in creative thinking, critical thinking, and stress management. Participants emphasized the need for tailored life skills training to enhance their readiness for inclusive teaching. The study highlights the importance of integrating comprehensive life skills development in the teacher preparation programs to empower educators with Visual Impairment These findings brought the scope to reframe teacher training curriculum, policy, and educational practices, reinforcing the need for inclusive strategies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion in modern classrooms.
