Abstract
This comprehensive tracer analysis examined the career pathways, licensure performance, and employment outcomes of Teacher Education graduates from Bataan Peninsula State University–Dinalupihan Campus (BPSU-DC) spanning 1992–2024. The study aimed to profile graduates (demographics, licensure, employment status, and academic rank), determine useful competencies, and gather alumni feedback to strengthen curriculum development, institutional planning, and quality assurance, affirming the University’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work). Employing a descriptive methodology with purposive sampling, the study surveyed 644 graduates, analyzed using frequency counts and thematic synthesis. Significant findings confirm the cohort is predominantly female (71.74%) and professionally young (mean age 32.66). The program shows high effectiveness with an 88.20% licensure pass rate and rapid job acquisition (68.94% employed within six months). However, a "Migration Paradox" exists: 44.10% initially pursued non-education careers, often motivated by the search for competitive income and better work-life balance, before 81.06% eventually transitioned into education-related current roles. Graduates highly utilized Teaching/Instructional (96.27%) and Communication Skills (94.72%), but noted a critical gap in Leadership and Management (38.82%), which hinders progression beyond core teaching positions (92.0%). Alumni feedback confirms the program's strength in ‘Quality Education and Academic Foundation’ (34.36%) and ‘Faculty Excellence and Support’ (27.31%) but strongly suggested enhancing Graduate and Professional Development (offer graduate programs) (27.27%) and Curriculum/Instruction (e.g. more majors, SPED) (25.45%). The study recommends strengthening intensive review programs to elevate competitive licensure scores and systematically integrating advanced leadership and technology skills to accelerate readiness for administrative ranks.
