Abstract
Women empowerment has emerged as a crucial aspect of social development, emphasizing gender equality, autonomy, and social participation. Higher education plays a pivotal role in shaping the attitudes of young women toward empowerment. This study aims to explore the attitude of girls students pursuing higher education toward women empowerment, analyzing factors that influence their perceptions. A sample of 200 female students from colleges and universities in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh was surveyed using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, mean scores, standard deviation, and t-test to examine differences across groups. Results indicate that students hold a generally positive attitude toward empowerment, with significant variations based on socio-economic background and field of study. The study highlights the role of higher education in fostering awareness, self-confidence, and leadership among female students.
