Abstract
The growing reliance on online health platforms has increased the demand for accurate and intelligent diagnostic systems. Traditional symptom checkers generally depend on simple pairwise mappings between diseases and symptoms or on manually constructed knowledge bases, which leads to low diagnostic precision and limited adaptability to evolving health conditions. Recent works have explored supervised learning models, electronic health records (EHRs), and telehealth cloud systems, but these approaches face issues of incomplete data, poor scalability, and low reliability in real-world healthcare scenarios. In this study (2022–2024), we propose a hybrid health diagnosis framework that integrates structured medical records and unstructured clinical narratives through convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and ontology-based reasoning. By combining semantic inference with automated feature extraction, the method enhances diagnostic accuracy, achieving rates close to 94.80% in experimental settings. The framework is designed to be adaptive, interpretable, and scalable, providing real-time and reliable support for healthcare decision-making in e-health and telemedicine contexts.
