Abstract

This study aimed to uncover the real experiences of six educators working in remote schools in the Talaingod District of Davao del Norte. These educators developed creative and practical strategies to improve their relationships with parents who faced challenges like poverty, distance, and cultural differences. The research used qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. It showed that the teachers focused on culturally relevant strategies, flexible communication, house visits, and local community meetings to make involvement more meaningful. Their narrative emphasized the importance of understanding, trust, and addressing the needs of each community. Despite various obstacles, the teachers' determination and innovative ideas helped increase student support and parent participation. Finally, this research provides educators and policymakers with useful advice on building more sustainable and inclusive school-family partnerships, particularly in marginalized and remote communities.
