Abstract
This study investigated the impact of transformational leadership and school climate on organizational commitment within educational institutions. Transformational leadership, characterized by vision, inspiration, and individual support, plays a critical role in influencing employee attitudes and behaviors. Similarly, a positive school climate fosters collaboration, trust, and a sense of belonging among staff, which can enhance commitment to organizational goals. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research examines the relationships between transformational leadership practices, the perception of school climate, and the level of organizational commitment among teachers and school leaders. Data were collected through surveys conducted with 16 schools of Loreto South District Teachers and School heads. Statistical analysis was used to identify significant correlations, while qualitative insights provided a deeper understanding of the dynamics at play. The findings reveal that transformational leadership significantly enhances organizational commitment by fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Additionally, a positive school climate serves as a mediating factor, further strengthening the connection between leadership and commitment. The study highlights the importance of leadership development and creating a conducive school climate as essential strategies for improving organizational outcomes. These results offer valuable implications for educational leaders, policymakers, and institutions aiming to enhance staff commitment and overall organizational effectiveness. Recommendations for future research and practical applications are also discussed.
