Abstract
This study examines the relationship between school culture and student engagement among intermediate-level students in the Compostela East District, encompassing Compostela Central Elementary School SPED Center, Bango Elementary School, Tamia Elementary School, TH Valderrama Elementary School, and Mangayon Elementary School. Employing a correlational research design, data were collected via surveys from students and teachers and analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results indicate no significant correlation between the overall domains of school culture and student engagement. Contrary to expectations, the findings suggest that other factors may more strongly influence student engagement. This study adds to the understanding of the complex interplay between school environment and student engagement and offers a foundation for future research.
