Abstract
Home automation has received much interest as a result of IoT and smart technology. This study targets a voice-enabled home automation system based on the ESP32 microcontroller, relays, and smart voice recognition. The system supports hands-free control of home appliances such as fans, lights, and doors, enhancing convenience, accessibility, and energy efficiency. The ESP32, which supports integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionalities, is used as the core controller, interpreting voice commands issued via an interfaced voice recognition module or smartphone assistant. Relays are employed as switches for the control of electrical devices depending on processed instructions. The system can operate using local network communication or cloud-based integration to achieve reliability and responsiveness.
