Abstract
The article concentrates on designing and building the thermal management system for EV batteries. While lithium-ion batteries give a lot of energy in a small space, they react to changes in the surrounding temperature. Electric vehicles now need fast battery charging to be effective. This requirement often brings up some difficulties for the individual cells in an EV battery pack . An electric motor in an electric vehicle is always moving forward with energy that comes from chemical reactions in the battery. The goal is to allow BTMS to keep the temperature in the battery pack in a safe range. The current article talks about how cells are cooled, how the heat load is calculated and what the different cooling approaches involve. Checking of the results indicated that the proper cooling strategy for the battery pack was selected according to the information from the analysis of cell contents. Most of the readings are done by looking at the two main situations—without using the PCM and with using the PCM.
