Abstract
An IoT based novel approach to health emergency through real time data acquisition and analysis system is an innovative IoT-based solution designed to continuously monitor vital health parameters and provide immediate assistance during emergencies. The system utilizes the ESP8266 microcontroller integrated with the MAX30100 sensor for heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, and the MPU6050 accelerometer/gyroscope for fall detection. In case of abnormal health conditions such as a heart attack, asthma attack, or a fall, the system triggers an emergency alert. The GPS module fetches the live location, and a GSM module sends an SMS with the location to predefined emergency contacts. Additionally, all health parameters and location data are visualized in real-time on the ThingSpeak platform for remote monitoring and analysis. This portable and wearable system is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic health conditions, elderly people living alone, and athletes during training. By combining real-time health monitoring, emergency alerts, and Cloud based data visualization, the project aims to enhance healthcare accessibility, reduce response times during emergencies, and improve overall quality of life. The system is cost-effective, scalable, and has the potential to be integrated into broader healthcare frameworks for remote patient monitoring and personalized care.
