Abstract
In recent years, the increasing number of road accidents caused by improper use of high-beam headlights during night driving has raised significant safety concerns. This paper proposes an Automatic High Beam and Low Beam Headlight Control System designed to reduce nighttime road accidents by automatically switching between high and low beams based on the surrounding traffic conditions. The system employs Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors and other optical components to detect oncoming vehicle lights and adjust the headlight intensity accordingly. This smart and cost-effective solution enhances driver comfort and ensures road safety by minimizing glare and improving visibility. The implementation is simple and can be integrated into modern vehicles as well as retrofitted into older models.
