Abstract
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 strives to encourage holistic development by incorporating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedas, and traditional arts and crafts into the curriculum and pedagogy of education system. Embracing IKS may assist to nurture India's intellectual legacy as well as cultivating an inclusive, cultural-driven approach to learning. Nevertheless, successful incorporation calls for a systematic approach involving curricular interventions such as introducing fundamental IKS courses of study, implementing IKS perspectives across disciplines, fostering research and innovation, providing experiential learning, collaborating with knowledge holders, and building faculty capacity. IN these concern Major constraints are The development of curriculum, training for teachers, coordinating modernity with tradition, ensuring inclusiveness, maintaining academic rigorousness, and collaborating across disciplines etc. The techniques for successful IKS integration include Comprehensive curriculum design, sturdy teacher training, research collaboration, multidisciplinary studies, creation of effective teaching-learning materials, founding IKS centers of excellence, utilizing technology, promoting consciousness, building interdisciplinary partnerships, ensuring inclusive execution, and continual assessment . The analysis of NEP 2020 explores how traditional knowledge, including as old sciences, languages, arts, and philosophical systems, might be integrated with modern educational approaches to create a holistic learning environment. This research study examines how NEP 2020 targets the Indian knowledge system, including objectives, strategies, potential impacts, and constraints
