Abstract
In industrial environments, the safety of workers is paramount, yet traditional safety measures often fall short in preventing accidents. This project proposes an IoT-based safety monitoring and alerting system designed to enhance worker safety in real-time. The system utilizes a network of sensors to monitor various environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, gas levels, and worker vitals. Data collected from these sensors is transmitted to a central processing unit via wireless communication protocols. By leveraging cloud computing and machine learning algorithms, the system analyzes the data to detect hazardous conditions. Upon identifying potential threats, the system immediately triggers alerts, sending notifications to workers, supervisors, and emergency services. Additionally, the system can be integrated with wearable devices worn by workers, which provide real-time feedback and ensure prompt response to emergencies. This IoT-based solution not only improves the efficiency of safety monitoring but also significantly reduces the response time in critical situations, thereby minimizing the risk of injuries and fatalities. The implementation of this system in industrial settings can lead to a safer working environment, fostering a culture of proactive safety management.
