Abstract
Streptococcus mutans is proven to cause dental plaques followed by dental carries. Capsaicin: an active compound found in chillies that creates the burning sensation when consumed , with help of following reviews of certain experimnets the effectiveness of capsaicin has been studied and understood as an antibiotic. Capsaicin's crucial role of controlling dental carries alongwith possible oral cancer is studied. With this paper the effective action capsaicin has been understood and is concluded that the oral hygiene can be well maintained with help of capsaicin.
