Abstract
We want to create an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air pollution monitoring system that will use the internet to
monitor air quality through a web server and sound an alarm when the air quality goes down beyond a certain
level, means when there are sufficient number of harmful gases are present in the air like CO2, smoke, alcohol,
benzene and NH3. It will show the air quality in PPM on the webpage and the LCD so that we can monitor it very
easily. Previously we have built. This time, we utilized the MQ135 sensor, which is the greatest option for
monitoring air quality since it can detect the majority of dangerous gases and estimate their level correctly. The
LPG detector used the MQ6 sensor, and the smoke detector used the MQ2 sensor. With this Internet of Things
project, you can use your computer or mobile device to remotely check the pollution level. We can install this system
anywhere and can also trigger some device when pollution goes beyond some level, like we can switch on the
Exhaust fan or can send alert SMS/mail to the user. Index Terms: Arduino, Gas sensor, Buzzer.
