Abstract
Microencapsulation has revolutionized the textile industry by enhancing functionality and performance. This innovative technique involves enclosing active substances in micro-sized capsules, which are then integrated into fabrics. These capsules release their contents in response to specific triggers, such as friction, temperature, or moisture. Application ranges from moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating fabrics to odor control and skincare textiles. This abstract highlight the transformative impact of microencapsulation on textile properties, opening avenues for smarter, more versatile, and functional textiles.
