Abstract
The field of robotics has seen progress in years particularly in the realm of industrial automation which plays a vital role in various manufacturing and automation processes. The functionality and efficiency of these robots greatly rely on the software systems that govern their movements and actions. In this context the project "Design and Development of SCARA with software controller" aims to contribute to the improvement of control systems for robots.
Modern manufacturing industries heavily rely on robots due to their ability to carry out repetitive tasks with great efficiency. Ensuring optimal robot performance entails not only focusing on the design and mechanics of the robot hardware but also developing control software. This review investigates the existing knowledge pertaining to robot control software, graphical user interfaces (GUIs), standard motion profile and inverse kinematics (IK) calculations. These elements collectively serve as the foundation for this project.
SCARA robots are a practical choice for applications that involve horizontal and vertical movements, pick-and-place tasks, and when cost and space are factors.
