Abstract

This article reports on the hurdles faced by education stakeholders in implementing child labor policy in Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that child labor affects the physical, social and intellectual development of the child. Despite government efforts to tackle child labor by creating child labor laws and policies, rates of child labor are still prevalent in some districts of Uttar Pradesh. Parents should be aware of the value of education for their children. The government should find ways to fight poverty and all stakeholders should join hands to eliminate child labour.
