Abstract
In catfish farming, the impact of micro nutrients on performance is crucial. However, their higher prices, mainly due to importation costs, increase overall production expenses. Therefore, finding cost-effective alternatives locally is essential for feed production. This study aims to explore the Effect of Wild Lettuce on the growth, blood profiles, and reproductive performance of African Catfish. In a 12-week nutritional study, 108 juvenile African Catfish were divided into five dietary groups with seven fish per tank (120 liters) and replicated three times. Five diets with varying inclusion of wild lettuce leaf meal (0, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, and 0.05g) were formulated, all containing 35% CP. The fish were fed twice daily to satiation at 8:00 and 17:00 hrs, and weight changes were recorded every 2 weeks.
