Abstract
development of any country. It is the most important component for the proper functioning of a state or region. India is a multi-state country with different governing systems in each state. In this article, we will explore the comparative study of local governance of Maharashtra and Telangana states. We will take an in- depth look at how these two states manage their local bodies like municipalities, panchayat raj, urban cooperative banks and more. Additionally, we will discuss how these two states differ in terms of their economic policies and other aspects that affect local governance development. Maharashtra is the most populous state in India and has a robust local governance system.
