Abstract
The present study has been designed to investigate the difference in the mathematics achievement of government and private school students of secondary level. The study was conducted over the sample of 200 students (100 of government schools and 100 of private schools) of class 10th of different schools of Bhopal (MP). Annual high school examination marks of maths subject were used to measure students’ mathematics achievement. Results indicate that no significant difference has been found in the mathematics achievement between the government and private school boys/students of secondary level while a significant difference found in the mathematics achievement between the government and private school girls of secondary level.
