Abstract
High data rate requirement insist the researcher to show much interest in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and to investigate precoding techniques for multi-user MIMO communications. As Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) is considered as a prominent precoding scheme due to its capability to efficiently cancellation of the known interference which is at the transmitter side. Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) for downlink MU-MIMO channel can be modeled as user signal constellation expansion is followed by linear precoding. A modified THP algorithm is proposed so that the advantage of linear and non-linear precoding techniques can be taken as a special case of zero forcing THP (ZF-THP) and minimum mean square error (MMSE–THP) has been studied with QAM as well as QPSK diversified modulation scheme. The simulation result shows the improvement in bit error rate (BER) by the use of different mentioned modulation schemes with ZF-THP and MMSE-THP techniques.
