Abstract
This work is devoted to estimating the maximum power produced by a directly coupled photovoltaic system and a
MPPT controller-controlled photovoltaic system during the sunniest month in Mahajanga. To do this, the study first
involves predicting the solar irradiation received on the inclined plane of the photovoltaic module and developing
mathematical models for each component of these photovoltaic systems. The results of the Matlab/Simulink
simulation clearly show the superiority of the performance obtained by the MPPT-controlled system over that of the
directly coupled system regardless of the influence of the site's meteorological parameters.
