Abstract
The method of experimental work in the first stage, the stationary diesel engine of direct injection of constant speed of four times and a single cylinder is operated with different mixtures of diesel and biodiesel from Jatropha in natural aspiration mode. Different mixtures such as B10, B20, Jatropha biodiesel with diesel are tested on a conventional diesel engine, to find the best in terms of performance and emission characteristics. In the second stage, the experiments are carried out in a single-cylinder constant-speed direct injection diesel engine in exhaust gas recirculation mode (EGR) with the best combination (B10 and B20) of Jatropha biodiesel to different rates of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) (10 and 20%).
