Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive case study analyzing the site operations and work execution monitoring at the 3MW MSKVY Solar Power Plant in Kakadhira, Beed. The findings are based on an intensive On-the-Job Training (OJT) program conducted in collaboration with Sai Electrical Engineers & Contractors. The study details the technical methodologies, including Module Mounting Structure (MMS) assembly, DC string formation, and the operation of String Monitoring Units (SMUs), alongside the managerial workflows and safety compliance protocols. Key operational findings reveal significant challenges impacting performance, such as 3-8% energy generation loss due to module soiling and efficiency drops caused by DC string mismatches. The research concludes that achieving operational excellence and maximizing the asset's efficiency requires a rigorous, integrated approach that combines advanced technical skill, vigilant monitoring, and strong managerial oversight of on-site safety and execution standards. This analysis provides valuable, practical insights for optimizing future solar projects in the Indian renewable energy sector.
