Abstract
Customers are distinct individuals with a wide range of needs and desires that differ from one another. They also have distinct consumption habits and buying habits. With the recent rise in the nation's per capita income, the Indian economy has ushered in a new age. As a result, the proportion of durable goods in the average yearly per capita consumption spending has climbed while the proportion of necessities such as food, clothing, energy, fuels, and footwear has decreased. This is indicative of shifting consumer preferences. It is necessary to comprehend the elements that affect consumers' decisions to buy durable goods. A consumer's decision to buy is influenced by a wide range of elements, including economic, cultural, social, demographic, situational, or occasion-specific aspects, rivals' strategies, technical advancements, product characteristics, personal considerations, and psychological issues.
