Abstract
The study was designed to determine the influence of professional development and school climate on the level of job satisfaction of public school mathematics teachers. One hundred fifteen Mathematics teachers were included in the study. The study employed Correlational Descriptive research design to discover the significant proportion of professional development and school climate that affect the degree of job satisfaction among public school mathematics teachers. The data gathered in this study were analyzed using statistical methods of mean, correlation and regression. The findings of this study showed that there is a very high positive relationship between professional development and job satisfaction of Mathematics teachers. There is a very high positive relationship between school climate and job satisfaction of Mathematics teachers. The professional development and school climate together significantly predict the overall job satisfaction of public school Mathematics teachers. The study concluded that professional development and school climate play an important role in making public school Mathematics teachers remain in their jobs and contribute to students' learning with the highest level of morale. The study recommended that the school administrators and other policy makers implement various professional development programs and promote a good school climate that will result in the satisfaction of teachers for the betterment of teaching performance.
