Abstract
This study examines the MATATAG Curriculum, specifically focusing on the learning competencies for Grade 7 Mathematics in the content area of Number and Algebra during the first quarter. The primary goal is to develop and validate lesson exemplars along with learning activity sheets for Grade 7 under the MATATAG Curriculum. The research uses descriptive-developmental to validate these materials. Data were collected from one Grade 7 teacher from each secondary school in the Bacon cluster, using an acceptability questionnaire. The materials were validated by five expert writers from the Division of Albay, Sorsogon Province, and Sorsogon City. These experts assessed the materials through an evaluation rating sheet aligned with the Department of Education's guidelines for the evaluation and assessment of learning resources. The results indicate that the developed lesson exemplars and learning activity sheets met all necessary indicators, including content, quality, format, presentation, organization, accuracy, and relevance. Based on these findings, the materials were recommended for approval for potential use in public schools. This study highlights the importance of these lesson exemplars and learning activity sheets in supporting the effective implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum for the 2024-2025 school year. Furthermore, the research adds valuable resources to the field of Grade 7 Mathematics education and offers practical recommendations to enhance the delivery of learning under the MATATAG Curriculum.
