Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the HRM program based on CMO No. 30, series of 2006 for the academic year 2010-2011. The research was conducted in the four campuses of North Eastern Mindanao State University offering HRM Program. Respondents of the study were the administrators, HRM instructors, staff and selected HRM students chosen through random sampling. The study revealed that the nine areas on the HRM program : Competency Standards, Administration, Faculty, Curriculum, Instructional Standards, Library, Laboratory Facilities, Physical Plant and Research gained a “well implemented” descriptive value based on CMO no. 30, series of 2006. However, a significant difference was disclosed in the perception of the four groups. After a comprehensive analysis, the researcher proposed a 5-year development plan for the HRM Program in NEMSU for AY 2013 – 2017. The development plan envisions the level of implementation of the program’s faculty by improving 90 – 100% of the existing faculty members to have a Master’s degree in their field of specialization; overhauling the curriculum that will best fit to the needs of global demands; upgrading of laboratories through state-of-the-art equipment and at par with the latest trends in technology; institutionalizing the OJT Program of the students through closer linkages with the hospitality industry through its various stakeholders, community, government and NGO’s; construction of a modern mini-hotel and classroom facilities and more importantly, refocusing on the capability of administrators through value formation and team building initiated programs.
