Abstract
The growing requirement for quick and convenient blood donation and blood transfusion services has necessitated an integrated digital platform to link blood receivers and donors. This paper discusses the design and development of a mobile-based platform linking donors and receivers of blood in real-time and making the process of blood donation more efficient. The application incorporates features like registration of receivers and donors, real-time posting of blood requirements, emergency alert, display of hospitals in the vicinity, and tracking of donor availability. With Firebase Realtime Database as backend operations and Google Maps API as location services, the platform provides quick response time and correct information exchange. The system incorporates features like tracking donation history, reward mechanism, and health reminders to encourage repeat participation. The suggested solution is planned to improve accessibility, eliminate delays, and promote voluntary blood donation through a scalable and user-friendly interface. The platform is a step towards the use of technology in facilitating public health infrastructure and emergency medical services.
