Abstract

VOD bleeding occurs rarely, accounting for 0.1% of hematemesis etiologies [2]. This occlusion may be caused by malignant or benign compressive masses. We presented a case of A 55-year-old female patient with no pathological history presented with intermittent hematemesis for 6 months, the patient underwent total thyroidectomy, with an intraoperative demonstration of the monstrous esophageal varices.
