Abstract

Bipolar disorder and sleep apnea are significant global health concerns, each affecting individuals' well-being. Bipolar disorder involves extreme mood swings between mania and depression, while sleep apnea is characterized by interrupted breathing during sleep. Both conditions can co-occur, severely impacting health. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment. This project aims to develop a tool for diagnosing bipolar disorder and sleep apnea using physical exams, medical history, sleep studies, and psychological evaluations. A literature review will inform the design, ensuring the tool follows best practices for identifying these conditions and improving early-stage detection and treatment outcomes.
