Abstract
This paper discusses the development of an AI-based Resume Scanner and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Analyzer, which aims to improve the efficiency of the recruitment process and the chances of job applicants getting selected in the system. The system aims to address some of the major challenges in the modern recruitment process, which include the handling of a high number of resumes in an unstructured format, the lack of transparency in the working of the ATS system, and the inefficiency of the keyword-based resume filtering process. The proposed system is a web-based system through which the user can upload resumes and provide job descriptions for the system to analyze. The system uses advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and Large Language Model-based semantic analysis of the resume to extract the key details of the resume, which include skills, education, and work experience. The system provides suggestions to the user on how to improve the resume and the chances of getting selected in the system. The system also provides suggestions on the job role and resume templates based on the resume details. The proposed system is developed using Python, Flask, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQLite.
