Abstract

In the present study water sample of Narmada River from three different sites Bharuch(Below Golden Bridge), Poicha (Rajpipla) and kevadia colony has been physio chemically evaluated for its suitability for domestic and irrigation purposes. In Physical and Chemical Parameters Such as pH, Temperature, Turbidity, Total Dissolved Solid, Total Suspended Solid, Dissolved Oxygen, Nitrate, Fluoride and Chloride were analyzed in the laboratory. The Physico-Chemical parameters of water were determined as per standard methods of IS APHA(2012). The results indicate that the Narmada River water quality is suitable and safe or unsafe for domestic and irrigation purposes.
