Abstract
Sufis played an important role in the development of composite culture in India. Their thoughts and practices served as an ideal for society and they had deep influence on every aspect of society. They successfully infused the values of humanity, love and brotherhood in society. This paper underlines the contributions of many Sufis in the development of Urdu language in the Allahabad region.
