Abstract

The study has been carried to assess the water quality index of River Ganga at Patna ,Bihar.The samples were collected from 6 different ghats and analyzed for various physico-chemical parameters like temperature,pH,DO,BOD,Turbidity and TDS.The value of WQI at almost all location indicates that water of Ganga river at Patna is highly polluted.
