Abstract
A penny earned is penny saved. But with inflation working as a termite is eating into the savings of the common man. The article is an attempt to highlight the importance of indexation benefit which debt mutual funds provide. Despite this fact, indian investors are investing in fixed deposits which does not offer any protection from the inflation.
